FAQ
Certificate of Authenticity
Every original artwork and print purchased from KATTINE includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The COA documents the title, medium, dimensions, year of creation, and a unique identifier for the work. It is signed by the artist and shipped with your order.
Originals vs. Open Editions
KATTINE offers two types of work:
- Original works — One-of-a-kind pieces created by hand. Once sold, they are no longer available.
- Open-edition prints — Reproductions available in unlimited quantities, printed on archival paper.
Signed & Numbered Prints
Select print editions are hand-signed and numbered by the artist (e.g., 3/50). The edition size and number are noted on the product listing and, where applicable, on the print itself.
Understanding Dimensions
Dimensions are listed on each product page. Please note the difference between:
- Image size — The area covered by the artwork itself.
- Paper size — The full sheet, which may include a white border around the image.
- Framed size — The overall outer dimensions when the work is framed (where applicable).
All measurements are listed in inches (width x height). If you need metric measurements, please contact us.
Display & Care
To preserve your artwork:
- Hang or display away from direct sunlight and UV exposure, which can cause fading over time.
- Avoid areas with high humidity or temperature fluctuations, such as bathrooms or exterior walls.
- Use acid-free, archival framing materials when framing prints.
- Do not apply glass cleaners or solvents near unframed or canvas works.
- Handle originals and prints by the edges or wear clean cotton gloves.
Shipping & Packaging
All orders are carefully packaged to protect your artwork during transit.
- Prints — Rolled in acid-free tissue and shipped in a rigid tube, or shipped flat between protective boards for smaller works.
- Original works — Wrapped in glassine, padded, and shipped in a double-walled box.
- Framed works — Secured with foam corners and packed in a custom-sized box.
International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the customer
